Grand Reserve Piner Hills Estate Dessert Wine
Six distinctive varietals comprise this blend. Tinta Cão has small berries with little juice adding tannins and backbone. Tinta Madeira offers floral aromas of roses and wild strawberries. Alicante Bouschet lends red color from the juice's pigment. Petite Sirah and Zinfandel provides black pepper and spice. Finally, Touriga brings out espresso characteristics. Together, this distinctive limited offering is a complex wine to be savored. Bottled August 2016.
Winemaking
Very low yields produced intensely flavored grapes that when aged in French and American oak add a hint of vanilla crème brûlée. 29 months aging in 90% French oak.
