Six distinctive varietals comprise this blend. Tinta Cão has small berries with little juice adding tannins and backbone. Tinta Madeira offers floral aromas of roses and wild strawberries. Alicante Bouschet lends red color from the juice's pigment. Petite Sirah and Zinfandel provides black pepper and spice. Finally, Touriga brings out espresso characteristics.
